Ulf Ewaldsson is a visionary technology executive and one of the global architects behind the 5G revolution. With more than 25 years in senior leadership positions across the telecom industry, he has held top executive roles at both T-Mobile US and Ericsson, where he helped shape the future of mobile connectivity. He has also served on numerous boards, including industry associations and a Fortune 500 company, reflecting his broad influence across both the business and technology landscapes.

As President of Technology at T-Mobile US, Ulf led the company’s entire technology organization, driving the delivery of America’s best 5G network and pioneering world-first innovations in network slicing, standalone core, and AI-driven operations. Previously, as Chief Network Officer, he oversaw the historic integration of Sprint and T-Mobile—creating the largest and most advanced 5G network in the country.

Before joining T-Mobile, Ulf served as Group CTO and Chief Strategy Officer at Ericsson, where he founded the company’s 5G program and drove its global R&D and standardization leadership. Named among the Top 50 Most Powerful People in Global Telecoms, he continues to serve as Chairman of 5G Americas and Chairman of the Board at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
