Nejib Ben-Khedher, Senior Vice President, Skywards, Emirates Airlines

Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher is the Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates Skywards since July 2015. He has been leading Skywards digital transformation from an FFP to a broader Loyalty business. The award winning program has doubled in size between 2015 and 2020 and is credited with the introduction of a number of industry firsts.

Dr. Ben-Khedher carries 30 years of global airline and travel experience, spanning from being Travelocity COO and GM in North America, to leading Sabre Holdings global airline consulting practice and software delivery organization. Most of his executive assignments, in the past 15 years, were to lead large business transformations or turnarounds.

His main point of interest in the past few years has been around “harnessing data to effectively engage with customer in the digital channels”, at the intersection of customer experience, digital technologies, and data analytics.

Dr. Ben-Khedher started his career as a research scientist within the American Airlines Decision Technologies division after earning a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He also holds a Master’s degree in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and another one in Air Transportation respectively from the Aerospace Engineering and Aviation Management Schools in Toulouse, France.
