Mr Rico Camus,

Rafael Camus, or Rico to his friends, is a 9 year veteran of the Philippine mobile phone industry. He started working with pioneering analog mobile operator, Piltel in 1996, holding positions in Sales and Marketing and transferring to another analog carrier, Extelcom, in 1999. In 2000, he joined the leading Philippine GSM mobile operator, Globe Telecom, where he led the Content Management Team for its Wireless Data Group. At Globe he worked on many content deals that bridged the worlds of mobile and broadcast, with internationally renowned media entities such as CNN, Cartoon Network, the NBA and the Walt Disney Company (Disney Mobile).

In 2003, he joined Philippine media giant ABS CBN broadcasting, through their internet and mobile content subsidiary, ABS CBN Interactive, Inc. He is currently the Head for Mobile Games and International where he works on deals that take content from top rated TV shows and make them available for mobile subscribers. He is also actively involved in helping the company expand its reach in Asia Pacific with alliances with broadcast entities in the region.


Mr Ian Chapman-Banks,

At Motorola, Mr. Chapman-Banks is working with the North Asia marketing teams to develop, localise and implement a global marketing strategy that helps Motorola achieve its seamless mobility vision. He is responsible for marketing strategy, planning, operations and budget; advertising, media planning and buying, brand identity and agency management; sponsorship, entertainment, web and guerrilla marketing; and event. He is a member of the Motorola worldwide marketing council. In addition to his marketing role Mr. Chapman-Banks is also responsible for the business development function for Motorola mobile devices.

Previously Mr. Chapman-Banks was the brand and channel marketing director for Microsoft's home and entertainment division in Asia Pacific. He set up Microsoft's home and entertainment division's regional headquarter in Hong Kong from scratch in 2002. During this period, he also set up the games division for Microsoft in Korean to execute on the on-line gaming strategy there.

Mr. Chapman-Banks had full profit and loss responsibility and wrote the business case for bringing localised content to Asia and also the Xbox Live broadband service which has been rolled out in four markets in Asia.

Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Chapman-Banks was the marketing director for Apple in Asia Pacific and was instrumental in building the brand in the region. He was responsible for advertising; web, direct and buzz marketing; retail marketing; collateral; and packing in the creative markets.

Mr. Chapman-Banks has been living and working in Asia for over ten years. He studied at an undergraduate level in the UK for a bachelor of science degree in applied science and computer studies and got his MBA in strategy and finance from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business in the US.

Mr Thomas Choi,

Thomas Choi is a satellite entreprenuer with over 15 years of experience in the Satellite and Aerospace industry. He is currently the CEO of Asia Broadcast Satellite Limited (ABS), a company based in Hong Kong that is maketing the capacity of the LMI-1 satellite and backed by Citigroup Venture Capital. He is also the founder of Asia Broadcast Networks (ABN) and Speedcast, a satellite service company that is a joint venture with AsiaSat. Mr. Choi is a significant shareholder all the companies that he has created since coming to Asia in 1999. Mr. Choi also spent over 5 years as a business development executive at Hughes Communications and served as a member of technical staff at Rockwell International. Mr. Choi has an MBA and a BS in Aerospace Engineering both from the University of Southern California.

Gregg Daffner,

Gregg Daffner is the Co-Founder and President of Asia Broadcast Satellite, a new kind of entrepreneurial satellite service provider based in Hong Kong and serving the Asia-Pacific Region, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Prior to this he was President of G3 Global Communications Consulting, providing business development, regulatory and transactional direction to communications services companies and also served as Chairman of the board of TV Mine, Inc. which provides digital video download services to PCs and mobile devices.

Gregg has held senior executive positions with PanAmSat, Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications, Cable & Wireless Hongkong Telecom, Lockheed Martin Intersputnik, q-east broadband and was Director of International Policy for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Currently Gregg serves as the elected Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council to the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) and a Founding Executive Board Member of the Asia Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC).

Gregg is an attorney who graduated with honors from Boston University School of Law. In a prior incarnation he was a New York based filmmaker and video artist.

Before joining Music Choice in 1995, Margot Daly was brought to Europe by DMX Europe to launch the digital audio product in 1993. Prior to this she worked in the audio compression and radio industry for Cutting Edge Technologies in Ohio and in brokerage with Citibank, New York.

Margot was appointed sales and marketing director of Music Choice in July 1999 and chief operating officer in August 2000. Since becoming chief executive in February 2003 she has led the company to profitability and through privatisation in August 2005.

Steven is currently the Director of Business Development for THQ Wireless in Asia. Prior to THQW, Steven was Director of Business Development for Contec Innovations Inc., a developer of carrier-class mobile application servers. Steven started in the mobile entertainment industry in 2001 with Riot Entertainment. Riot-E was a pioneer in publishing branded mobile content and was the first to bring such brands as The X-Men, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Spiderman and The Lord of the Rings to thousands of mobile phones on 3 continents. Before Riot-E, Steven managed regional sales and marketing activities for Intel Corporation in Asia, and was a Senior Engineer in charge of software test and development activities with Martin Marietta Corporation (now Lockheed Martin Corporation) based in Santa Clara, CA. Steven has a Masters in International Management (MIM) from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management, and a Masters in Business Administration from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.

Mr Steve Garton,

Steve Garton has worked on the client, advertising agency, media owner and market research sides of the business, based in the UK, Australasia, and Asia Pacific. Mr Adam Good,

Adam is based in Hong Kong and is responsible for Tribal DDB in Greater China with particular focus on Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Adam is also responsible for Tribal DDB Asia Pacific interactive business development for the world's sixth-largest Interactive agency network. Tribal DDB clients in Asia Pacific include HSBC, McDonald's, South China Post, Philips, Microsoft, Dell, Volkswagen, Johnson & Johnson and Park N Shop.

Adam was one of the founding members of Tribal DDB Worldwide. Adam opened the Australia operation in December 1999 and left in December 2005. Tribal DDB Sydney and Melbourne offices are two are the most awarded interactive agencies in Australia having recently won both the 2005 AdNews and B&T Interactive Agency of the Year titles.

Adam has ten years experience with the interactive community and was recently voted by the industry into Ad News, Australia's top-selling marketing, media and advertising magazine, as one of the top five Australian Interactive professionals. Adam has been the driving force behind many innovative and highly awarded digital, mobile and online projects with such clients as McDonald's, Volkswagen, Wrigley and Konica Minolta.

Previously, as an Executive Producer at News Interactive, Adam oversaw all of News Limited's (Australia's newspaper division of Newscorp) online projects from concept to final product. This included Australia's premier sports site afl.com.au, and Australia's leading national news and information service news.com.au.

Prior to News Limited, Adam was a senior producer at The Microsoft Network Australia, where he was contracted to move MSN from the x.25 network to a web based network producing a wide range of entertainment and information based content.

He also established an Internet development company, Australian Cyberfilm in 1994, which specialised in the Australian film and television industry.


Mr Ferrie Hu,

Prof. Ferrie Hu Tiejun, aged 54, graduated from the Sun Yatsen University (GuangZhou) with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, specializes in real-time system design and global data network management and has over 30 years of experience in data center, telecommunication networking and IT industry. He was focusing his work on telecommunication network planning and policy development during the last 10 years and has obtained the Technology Award from the China National Science Committee and Guangdong Province Science Committee.

Prof. Hu has worked for the Department of Computer Science and the Computer Center of the Sun Yatsen University (GuangZhou) for 10 years with scope of work in research on system networking, information technology, Computer Application and Research & Development Center Management.

Before joining China Motion Group in 1993, Mr. Hu has worked as a member for US company’s consultant group – Digital Equipment Co. and DEC Asia Technical Consultant Group; he has worked as the Chief Technical Consultant of the Guangzhou Jockey Club in meantime.
As the Chief Scientist of China Motion Group, Mr. Hu is responsible for the group’s telecom network development, information technology planning and policy setting. Mr. Hu has been assigned as the Asia Pacific Director of WiMax Forum.


Ms Lanny Huang,

Lanny Huang is the General Manager of Playboy TV Asia and Japan for Playboy Entertainment Group, Inc. She oversees television, broadband and wireless projects for

Ms Jessica Kam-Engle,

Jessica Kam heads Celestial Pictures’ marketing and product management teams, and oversees the company’s distribution marketing and corporate communications, as well as product development to drive the promotions and sales of Celestial’s Shaw Brothers library titles, new film productions and acquired content. She is also responsible for the music, publications, and merchandising activities of Celestial.

Kam joined Celestial Pictures from MTV Networks Asia where as Vice President, Deputy General Manager, MTV South China, she launched and managed the operations of the MTV China 24-hour channel. Previously, she was Vice President, Network Communications of MTV Networks Asia, leading the charge in the pan-regional strategic communications management for MTV, Nickelodeon and VH1 in Asia Pacific. Before that, she was Regional Marketing Manager at Dow Jones Newswires, where she planned and implemented the news organization’s marketing activities throughout Asia. Kam’s diverse background extends to earlier work experience with renowned organizations such as MGM Gold Networks, Disney Studios and Oracle Corporation, gathering a wealth of experience that spanned three continents.

Kam holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, USA. She was the President of the International Advertising Association (IAA), Hong Kong Chapter between March 2001 and July 2005.


Mr Jawahar Kanjilal,

As Director of Multimedia Experiences in Asia Pacific, Jawahar is responsible for bringing to market rich multimedia device solutions through Nokia’s Nseries high performance multimedia computers. These Multimedia Experiences span the areas of Mobile Imaging, Mobile Games, Mobile Internet, Mobile Music and Mobile TV.

He oversees the Multimedia Experiences team which focuses on delivering interactive consumer experiences with tangible business propositions to industry players, through partnerships and collaborations with market leaders across these domains.

Jawahar is actively involved in stimulating and steering the mobile services ecosystem with 3G mobile operators, TV & radio broadcasters, broadcast service providers, regulators and the content community. With his expertise in the creation and commercialization of mobile services gained over the years in the Asia Pacific mobile industry, his current assignment focuses on the next wave of convergence of communications with personal entertainment & media consumption on the go.

Jawahar brings with him over a decade of multi-dimensional business insights with perspectives from mobile operators, handset vendors, music labels, game publishers and mobile marketers. He also has several service innovations and a few patents to his credit for Nokia.

Prior to his most recent role of heading the Entertainment Business Unit for Nokia Multimedia in Asia Pacific, Jawahar served as Director, Digital Services and Applications, Asia Pacific, and led service development for the Imaging Business Unit in Nokia Mobile Phones, Asia Pacific. Before joining Nokia in 1997, he worked with Hutchison Telecom in India.

Anne LeBoutillier,

Anne LeBoutilllier is currently the General Manager for the Telecoms and Media Team at Terrapinn Pte Ltd, an organizer of business-to-business conferences and trade shows. The team is responsible for trade shows throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Previously, Ms LeBoutillier was Director, Asia-Pacific at T Soja and Associates, Inc. (TSA), managing all of TSA sales, marketing, research and analysis activities for the Asia Pacific market which included telecom service providers, infrastructure developers, equipment manufacturers, banks and financial institutions. In her position at TSA, Ms. LeBoutillier was a frequent guest on CNBC News, providing commentary and analysis on subjects such as market demand and corporate activities in the Asia Pacific region, and global telecom markets. She spoke frequently at regional and global telecommunications conferences and also provided commentary to numerous telecom publications on telecommunications demand requirements, market and financial analysis, telecom networks, and the undersea fiberoptics marketplace.

Prior to joining TSA, Ms. LeBoutillier held management positions in business development, strategic marketing, and product management with AT&T International Operations Group, AT&T Submarine Systems, Inc., AT&T Labs, and Tyco Submarine Systems, Ltd. Upon opening Tyco's Singapore regional office in 1998, Ms. LeBoutillier directed business development and marketing efforts for Tyco Submarine Systems Ltd. throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Ms. LeBoutillier also spent five years with the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. Her diplomatic assignments included a political advisorship to the U.S. Ambassador at the United Nations in New York City, and an assignment as political officer in Khartoum, Sudan.

Ms. LeBoutillier received an International MBA from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management and holds a bachelors degree in Political Science and International Economics from the University of Illinois.

Ms. LeBoutillier resides in Singapore with her husband Kris, a professional photographer.


Mr Juha Lipiainen,

Juha Lipiäinen is the Head of System Marketing & Offering Management for Mobile Video & TV, part of Nokia’s Multimedia Business Group.

Lipiäinen has twenty years experience in telecommunications in various business management positions in Nokia and with network operator Telecom Finland (Sonera). Lipiäinen has been in charge of business operations, marketing and R&D activities during his career in Nokia and Telecom Finland.

In the areas of international standardization and collaboration initiatives, Lipiäinen was instrumental in establishing the CO-OP Forum for developing common functionalities for OSS between major telecommunication equipment manufactures such as: Alcatel, Ericsson, Huawei, Lucant, Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Nortel and Siemens. Currently Lipiäinen is a member of the the Mobile DTV Alliance an initiative that promotes DVB-H based mobile TV in the United States.

Lipiäinen has been the chairman of CO-OP Council and served as the Nokia representative for OSS through Java Initiative.

Lipiäinen earned a Master of Science in Geodesy and Cartography from the Helsinki University of Technology. He also participated in executive level management programs at the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland (IMD).


Mr Steve Macallister,

Steve Macallister is senior vice president and managing director of Buena Vista International Television - Asia Pacific (BVITV-AP), the international television distribution arm of The Walt Disney Company that licenses quality feature films, critically acclaimed network television series and news programming, the very best in animation and prestigious specials such as the Academy Awards to mobile, digital, video-on-demand, pay-per-view, pay and free-to-air platforms across Asia Pacific.

Steve is responsible for managing the strategic development of BVITV’s television distribution business in the Asia Pacific region. Under Steve's leadership, BVITV has grown from being a Hong Kong-centric sales organization to the largest U.S. studio in the region with on-the-ground presence in strategic markets. Steve is based in Hong Kong.

Steve joined Walt Disney Television International (WDTVI) in 1993 where he was assigned the responsibility of developing a distribution business in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe. In this developing region, he played a key role in establishing Disney as the first Hollywood studio to distribute programming on a barter basis. In 1996, in his first assignment in Asia Pacific, Steve was appointed regional sales director for WDTVI (Asia Pacific) based out of Hong Kong. He returned to London in 1999 as sales director to manage television distribution in the UK, Eire, Scandinavia, Benelux and the Middle East. In February 2001, Steve returned to Hong Kong where he assumed the position of vice president and regional head of sales.

Prior to joining Walt Disney, Steve worked in the media buying and planning sector of the UK advertising industry for nine years where he held key positions at Young and Rubicam, Lintas and pioneer media specialists CIA.

Mr Laurie Patten,

Laurie is a Senior Manager at Spectrum, and has been at the company for six years. He has extensive experience across many aspects of the media sector both in the UK and throughout the world, including public sector broadcasting, pay television, production, and radio. He has spent time working across Spectrum’s offices, in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Brazil. Prior to joining Spectrum Laurie spent a number of years working as an economist for the UK Government in a variety of capacities.

Laurie focuses on the media sector. For media clients Laurie has led projects that have provided competition policy and advice, strategic support, due diligence advice, merger and acquisition support, business modelling and forecasting, and new business development. He has also led many of the company’s projects across the sports sector, content industries more broadly, and throughout the telecommunications sector.


Ms Chantal Payette,

Chantal Payette, founder and President of Whatever Media Inc., is a pioneer in the traditional and new
media industries with an impressive portfolio of innovative television, arts, film and new media projects.
Payette has worked with some of the leading media and advertising companies in North America such as
Alliance Atlantis, Discovery Channel, and Leo Burnett, helping to create their iLeo interactive department.
As a consultant, Payette has worked for the US government, MIT, Boston Consulting, and for such clients
such as BCE Inc, Rogers Wireless, Family Channel and the Royal Bank, among others.

Recently, Payette spearheaded the online media strategy for Rogers Wireless, C2 and Coke Classic for
MacLaren McCann, an Interpublic company. She used her background in convergence to strengthen
penetration of mobility services and create cross-media partnerships and opportunities. Payette has also
been active of late assisting a leading North American travel corporation in its re-branding process, as
well as developing new online business opportunities for several leading fashion designers.

In 2003, Payette instigated media and new media strategy for the Toronto ’03 Alliance; a group of local
business leaders dedicated to helping the city recover from the economic downturn due to the SARS
scare. Toronto ’03 were instrumental in bringing the Rolling Stones, Justin Timberlake and others in to
Toronto to show over 500,000 fans and the world that Toronto was back.

Before that she was Vice President of Interactive for Television at Alliance Atlantis Communications.

Jeremy Pink is President and Managing Director of CNBC in Asia Pacific. He is responsible for managing and growing CNBC’s assets in Asia Pacific, and for spearheading CNBC’s regional integration within the global business, to help drive growth and reinforce CNBC’s position as the world’s leading business news network. His role includes collaborating across divisions to effectively utilize the worldwide resources of NBC Universal, and parent company GE.

Most recently, Pink was Vice President, International News and Programming based in the US, where he worked across each international network – CNBC in the US, Europe, Asia Pacific and CNBC World in the US - to identify global programming and content opportunities. One of the programs that he spearheaded is the Worldwide Exchange, the global business news program, simultaneously broadcast out of the US, Europe and Asia. Prior to that he was with CNBC in Europe, where he was Vice President of News and Programming, directing the network's daily content and coverage with oversight of the network's long-range programming as well. His work contributed to making CNBC in Europe the fastest growing pan-European TV channel. Prior to CNBC in Europe, Pink held positions at CNBC in Asia Pacific, Worldly Information Network, and CNN's New York and Atlanta offices. Pink holds an MBA from Duke University and is a contributing author of "The Routledge Critical Dictionary of Global Economics" (1999) and "E-Finance Report" (2001).


Mr Ross Pollack,

Ross Pollack assumed his position as Senior Vice President, Business Development, Asia, Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI), on December 5, 2003. Based in SPTI Asia Regional Headquarters in Hong Kong and Reporting directly to Dewy Ip, SPTI's Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia, Pollack works closely with the regional team to identify and develop new business opportunities in Asia for SPTI three main lines of business licensing, international production, and international networks.

Pollack has held a number of positions at SPTI and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) in Los Angeles since joining the company in 1996. From 2000 until assuming his latest role, he served as SPTI Senior Vice President, Sales Planning, responsible for the international free and basic television lines. Working with Peter Iacono, SPTI Executive Vice President, Distribution, he helped to lead the division's strong growth in their international licensing business while participating in the key television licensing deals in Austral-Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America, and the Middle East. Previously, he was SPE Vice President, International Human Resources and Operations, from 1998 to 2000, and was Vice President, Total Rewards, from 1996 to 1998.
Prior to joining SPE, Pollack was Managing Director of Buck Consultants in Hong Kong from 1993 to 1996. From 1987 to 1993, he was employed by Hewitt Associates, first as an International Human Resources Consultant from 1987 to 1990 based in Chicago and Santa Ana, CA, followed by a stint as Manager, International Consulting at Hewitt Associates’Tokyo office.

Pollack has a B.A. in International Business from Pace University and M.I.M. in International Finance and Japanese from Thunderbird. He is conversant in Japanese and is currently studying Mandarin.

Prior to Linktone, Richard served as Managing Director of China for Mobile Internet Group in Beijing where he oversaw all China client relationships and operations including closing a deal with Yao Ming to create a suite of mobile services for the China market around the NBA All-Star.

As part of the move to Mobile Internet Group, Richard was Founder and CEO of Mobile interactive Games Ltd, which he started in Beijing in October of 2001 in conjunction with MINT, a PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting funded incubator. MiG was fully acquired by Sun Microsystems invested Softgame Pty Ltd in late 2002 (subsequently renamed Mobile Internet Group Pty. Ltd.).

Before founding Mobile interactive Games Ltd., Richard was a founding team member of renren.com a global community site for Chinese. As VP of Marketing and Sales, he ran the marketing, PR, sales and customer service teams of over 75 people across six cities in three countries.

Richard was with renren.com from a ten person company to a 350+ person company and continued with the company from initial seed funding through to funding of over US$37 million, on to renren's listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and finally through to renren's full acquisition in early 2001.

Richard came to renren.com from Modem Media in Hong Kong where he was the Regional Director of Strategy and Media for more than two years through to Modem's listing on NASDAQ. During his time at Modem, he helped grow the Hong Kong team from 3 people in early 1997 up to nearly 50 staff. Richard oversaw the regional interactive strategy and online media planning on all accounts including AT&T, Citibank, Intel, IBM and Cathay Pacific in markets such as Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, Taiwan and Australia.

Richard received an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University in The Netherlands in 1996, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1989.

Mobile Entertainment Magazine ranked Richard as one of the top 50 mobile entertainment executives globally in 2005.Advertising Age Magazine selected Richard as a Top Ten international Internet Superstar in 2000. Thomas V. Ryan is senior vice president of Digital & Mobile Strategy and Development at EMI Music North America, reporting to Adam Klein, EMI's executive vice president of Strategy & Development. In this capacity, Ryan focuses on developing strategies for growing the company's digital and mobile businesses worldwide, working in close collaboration with EMI operating companies.

Ryan is an accomplished entrepreneur who started his first digital music business nearly ten years ago and is considered a pioneer in the digital music industry. In fact, last year Ryan was named one of “Ten to Watch in Mobile Content” by Mobile Content News.

Prior to joining EMI in November 2004, Ryan worked at Virgin Mobile USA, a joint venture between Virgin Group and Sprint PCS, where he spearheaded the company's mobile music strategy as a full-time consultant.

Before Virgin Mobile, Ryan served as co-founder and chief music officer of Cductive – one of the first Internet retailers of custom CDs and downloadable music. In December 1999, Ryan and his partners sold the company to eMusic, which was later acquired by Universal Music Group.

Christopher Slaughter is Managing Director of Asia Pacific Vision (APV), the region’s foremost independent producer of news, documentary and factual programming. APV provides original content, broadcast services, and media consultation to clients around the region and internationally.

In 2002, he founded broadcast news consultancy Noises, Words, and Pictures, with clients including Dow Jones, CNBC Asia, India’s TV18, and China’s Shanghai Media Group. Previously, he was Director of Asia Pacific Research and Consulting for telecom, media, and technology consultancy The Yankee Group. Prior to that, he was Bureau Chief for CNBC Asia’s Hong Kong and Shanghai bureaus, and both a Correspondent and Producer for the company’s predecessor, Asia Business News.

He has also worked with Star TV in Hong Kong, Discovery Asia in Singapore, NHK in Tokyo, and with radio stations Metro News in Hong Kong, and ICRT in Taiwan.
