Shari is an animal welfare veterinarian passionate about advancing the welfare of animals and people through education, collaboration, and systems change. She holds Fellowships in Animal Welfare, Ethics, & Law, is a member of the Medicine and Management of Lab Animals chapter, and holds a Masters by Research in Veterinary Epidemiology and Population Health. Shari has worked with the Victorian Government on animal welfare legislative reform and works with the NSW animal welfare unit. She holds honorary and adjunct academic positions at the University of Melbourne, La Trobe, and the University of Sydney. She continues to enjoy work as a clinician, academic, animal welfare officer, and a global animal welfare consultant. She was awarded a 3Rs & Animal Welfare grant from UNSW which forms the basis of her PhD through the University of Sydney in Better Animal Welfare in Industry.
