John Inns, Veterinarian, Monash University

Over the last 10 years I have worked at a number of Universities within Melbourne as an Animal Welfare Officer/Veterinarian, providing evidence-based advice and guidance on optimal animal welfare for animals that are used in research and teaching. To undertake this role I draw on different facets from my veterinary career including communication skills learnt in general practice, training in surgery from my time at Melbourne and Sydney Universities and scientific and arts based research skills from my obsession with continuing education.
