Day 2 @ 12:00

Developing a Palliative Care Program for your Practice – the Who, the How and the Why

The moments at the end of a pet’s life are precious – not only for the patient, but equally for owners, and indeed often, for the whole healthcare team. As clinicians, are we doing everything to prepare everyone for that end-of-life journey? Are we recognising the strengths within our own teams to deliver more tailored and compassionate care? This session will explore the benefits of developing a palliative care program for your practice, touching on all the things you need to have covered. Learn about defining palliative care goals, the importance of palliative consent, and explore some consultation frameworks that might work for you.
