Emma graduated from Glasgow University vet school in 2001, with commendation. Moving to Australia she pursued her interest in small animal practice working across several clinics, where she could focus on client relationships and a problem solving approach to patient care. Emma joined OurVet in 2012 as the lead vet at one of our newly opened Victorian clinics. During this time she was able to contribute to the development of protocols across the business and developed her interest in the mentoring of team members. In 2016 she moved into the position of regional manager, working closing with the general manager and CEO. This saw her expand her skills across contribution to clinical standards development, leadership of multiple teams, as well as contributing to numerous business development plans. Emma has coordinated the New Graduate program and Vet student placement process for OurVet, a particular area of passion as it supports future veterinarians, with the aim to set them up for success in a supportive environment. More recently Emma took on the position of Chief Veterinary Officer, responsible for overseeing. the clinical guidance and direction of the OurVet network. As part of this role she will be leading the OurVet Veterinary Clinical Advocacy Group.
