Emily De Mather | Lead Anaesthesia Nurse
Southpaws Specialty Surgery For Animals

Emily De Mather, Lead Anaesthesia Nurse, Southpaws Specialty Surgery For Animals

Emily De Mather RVN A qualified nurse of twenty years, I discovered a love of anaesthesia eight years ago when I took a chance on a job in the anaesthesia department at The University of Melbourne Vet School. Under the guidance of three inspiring anaesthesia specialists and a team of uniquely talented nurses, I developed a knowledge base and honed a skill set I never expected. I also gained a love of teaching, as a major part of that job was teaching the fourth year DVM students in the practical aspects of anaesthesia. Since then, I have written and presented multiple educational sessions on veterinary anaesthesia for nurses, because I wish to inspire all nurses to develop a deep love and respect for the art of anaesthesia.
