Appearances:

Day 3 - September 24 @ 11:10

Keynote Panel: Behind the cloud: powering data centres with solar and storage

  • How should data centres access clean power? Exploring the balance between connecting to an increasingly renewable grid, procuring off-site renewable energy through Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs), and investing in dedicated energy infrastructure.
  • Can flexibility and storage unlock faster growth? Examining how battery storage, Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) and emerging regulatory reforms could reduce grid congestion, improve resilience and help meet rising electricity demand.
  • Will data centres become energy investors? Discussing the shift towards front-of-the-meter investments, on-site storage and generation, and the commercial and regulatory drivers behind these evolving energy strategies.
