Home Energy Tailor is an independent, vendor-neutral home energy consultancy helping homeowners make confident decisions about solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps, EV chargers and Home Energy Management Systems.

Founded in 2026 by Mike Farley, the business is built on over a decade of electric vehicle engineering - EV efficiency, energy storage and thermal systems - including leading bi-directional charging concept development for a prestigious British car manufacturer. That work championed a simple principle: an EV should return energy to the home and the grid, not just consume it. Recognising that vehicles, batteries, solar and heating are now one connected system, Mike set out to bring that engineering depth directly to homeowners.

Services include in-person impartial advice, accredited Energy Performance Certificates, Home Energy Reports and bespoke Made-to-Measure Energy Plans, delivered across Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire from a base in Stratford-upon-Avon. With no supplier ties or product affiliations, clients get guidance tailored to their home, their habits and their budget - whether the goal is lower bills, better energy security, or a genuinely integrated smart home.
