Assoc. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nguyễn Hồng Quân is Director of the Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED) at Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), where he leads interdisciplinary research and policy engagement on circular economy and sustainable development.
With a strong academic background in environmental science and water management, he is also an Associate Professor affiliated with the Center of Water Management and Climate Change (WACC), Institute for Environment and Resources. His research focuses on socio-hydrology, water quality modelling, climate change adaptation, and the application of GIS and remote sensing in environmental management.
He has over two decades of experience in research and academia, with a focus on bridging science, policy, and industry through collaborative approaches. His work emphasizes integrated solutions to environmental challenges, particularly in rapidly urbanizing and climate-vulnerable regions such as the Mekong Delta.
Dr. Quân holds a Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in water quality modelling, a Master’s degree in Geo-Information Science, and a Master of Public Policy from Fulbright University Vietnam.
