Christoph Janensch holds the position of Business Lead Economic Development at the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City (AHK Vietnam). He brings over a decade of experience in development cooperation, with a strong focus on private sector engagement, economic partnerships, and sustainable development across Asia—particularly in Vietnam, Cambodia, and China.
Prior to his current role, he served four years as GIZ Business Scout for Development at the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) Cambodia and managed the economic partnerships between the German federal state of NRW with its Chinese partner provinces at GIZ in Düsseldorf.
Christoph holds a dual Master of Social Science in Public Management and Social Development from Copenhagen Business School and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, alongside a BA in Chinese Studies from Freie Universität Berlin. He is fluent in German, English, and Chinese.
