Igor Luketina is a social entrepreneur and environmental engineer focused on solving global water scarcity through sustainable technologies. As CEO and founder of Cosmotaics, Igor leads a startup that enhances solar panel efficiency while harvesting dew, addressing energy and water challenges in arid regions. His expertise includes atmospheric water harvesting, solar desalination, and nature-based solutions, merging technology with a vision for sustainability. Igor has received multiple awards, including the Social Impact Award 2022 and Best Oral Presentation at the European Young Water Professional Conference 2024. He is part of ChangemakerXchange 2024, connecting with 1,000 changemakers to drive social and environmental solutions. Besides chairing for the Young Water Professionals in Austria he is part of a selected group of leaders within the International Water Association. Igor frequently speaks on sustainable water management, renewable energy, and community-driven change, guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to build a water-secure future. Igor's journey began in Ecuador, leading community projects on water infrastructure and social empowerment. He founded We Sustainable, a non-profit impacting over 2,500 families through community initiatives. His work includes international collaborations, mentoring, and research on dew formation for agricultural applications in Senegal. He usually travels places with a purpose and takes time to connect with the local community and the place deeply to understand its history and potential.
