Dr. Tsanis is leading the Innovation and Data arm of WEMA Bank Plc, the oldest indigenous bank of Nigeria, that has among others launched the first digital bank of West Africa, Alat. Simultaneously, he holds Academic roles on Finance and Strategy at the University of Edinburgh Business School, and at Hult International Business School. He is a seasoned financial technology and digital transformation executive, with 13 years hands on experience across different continents and industries [FinTech, Banking, Energy (Oil, Gas and Utilities), Consulting, High Tech, Academic and Military], having worked on roles with diverse skill requirements, enabling him to have a 360° view for both start ups and large corporates. 

In his past roles he focused on the growth of the corporate incubator within Thomson Reuters, with a particular focus in Start Ups and SMEs across MENA, led the strategy and sales department of Bayzat, the highest funded InsureTech in the Middle East, worked on the business development of Bloomberg LP across the Middle East and Africa, advised multiple Fortune 500 companies with Kaiser Associates, worked as a strategic advisor on improving the performance of EDF Energy (now called UK Power Networks), while simultaneously retaining academic engagements by delivering lectures and conducting research in leading universities.
 
He is active in the community, contributing intellectual capital through both academic and non-academic publications, and as a member/founder of industry and professional associations.
