Steve Longman, Autonomous Vehicles - Transport Solutions Manager, Motability Foundation

Steve Longman is a Transport Solutions Manager at the Motability Foundation, where he leads the Foundation’s work on autonomous vehicles, focusing on the implications for disabled people and future accessible mobility. In this role, Steve is responsible for shaping strategic insight across the AV ecosystem, including technology readiness, regulation, deployment models, and the risks and opportunities for inclusive design as self‑driving technologies mature. Steve brings extensive experience from across the public and private sectors, with a career spanning transport policy, innovation programmes, and emerging mobility. He has previously spoken at MOVE and other industry events, contributing practical, evidence‑led perspectives on accessibility, automation and the real‑world adoption of new transport technologies. At MOVE 2026, he will share insights from his work at the Motability Foundation on how accessibility considerations can and should be embedded into the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles from the outset.
