Nanomade

Start-up

Nanomade Lab is a French DeepTech company created in 2019 by former executives from the high-tech industry. The company industrialize results from French research labs in Nanotechnology and design sensors that have unique properties issued from quantum physics.

Nanomade printed technology enables to produce in volume the most sensitive deformation sensor in the world (80 times more sensitive than a strain gauge). The technology is flexible, thin, transparent and can also be mixed with capacitive technology on the same sensor for enhanced Force and Touch devices. The sensor can be glued under any 3D shape and any material (metal, leather, wood, plastic …). With Nanomade technology, any object can be augmented to deliver data.

Nanomade has 20 patents on its printed sensors, Nanomade sensors are compatible with automotive environmental testing (high performances from -40°c, + 120 °c) and ageing.

Nanomade Technology can be applicable in an infinite number of usages, however the company is focusing on 3 main segment markets:

1) Human Machine Interface (HMI) for consumer products, car interior or airplane interior: Nanomade Sensor use its capacitive side to detect a finger approach and its deformation side (“force”) to confirm the intention of pressure, hence eliminating all false alarms.

2) Health markets: the high sensitivity of the sensor enables to detect the micro deformation of human bodies under 10 cm of seat foam or mattress, Nanomade has developed a machine learning software that can establish all cardiac and breathe parameters from the deformation of artery at each user’s heartbeat. This enables health monitoring in a unobtrusive way of a seated or bed lying person.

3) Structure deformation: Nanomade sensors can be used to detect any deformation of an object (airplane, wind turbine, battery …) providing data for IOT application. Weight measurement use cases are part of the possibilities

Nanomade has been named as the 42nd most innovative start-up in France by Forbes. It has also been selected by LVMH group to join the group start-up incubator in Paris. The company has also ranked 3rd in a JTI worldwide innovation contest with 3000 start-ups. The company has famous customers such as Airbus, Safran group, Huawei and famous European automotive manufacturers.

Nanomade technology enables lighter and more recycled products, it brings new usage in places where these usages were not feasible before, as the sensors generate data, this technology is well adapted to I.A. applications.
