Hassan AlMarzouki brings over 25 years of extensive experience in Saudi Arabia’s mineral resources, mining, and industrial sectors. He has led numerous projects supporting the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) in achieving government objectives and advancing the country’s mineral industries.
AlMarzouki has participated in, presented at, and attended many investment seminars, scientific conferences, and exhibitions both within Saudi Arabia and internationally. He has published research in international journals and national technical reports, with recent work focusing on minerals, geo-energy, and waste management.
He has organized multiple training programs and industrial forums, including serving as chairman of the Industrial Minerals Workshops in 2002 (in cooperation with the British Geological Survey) and the Silica Arabia 2012 conference in Jeddah. AlMarzouki is an active member of several national and international committees and societies, including the Saudi Society of Geoscience (SSG) and the Expert Group on Resource Management (EGRM) at UNECE.
Currently, he serves as Director General, Planning & Development at SGS, overseeing five key departments: Planning, Follow-up, Statistics & Information, SGS Business Center, and Institutional Transformation. He is responsible for strategic planning, organizational development, institutional excellence, and business development. He also led SGS’s National Transformation Programme 2020 and established the Vision Office to support Saudi Vision 2030.
AlMarzouki continues to drive the development of SGS’s Business Center, diversify its revenue streams, and lead its privatization initiatives, playing a pivotal role in the reorganization and growth of the organization.
