Dr Jo Orlando (PhD) is a multi-award winning researcher, advisor and author who is revolutionising our relationship with technology.  With a focus on children, Jo analyses and predicts how technology use shapes children’s behaviours and the implications for their learning, safety and wellbeing. She works with Governments worldwide, big-tech, social media platforms, education and industry to develop evidenced-based policies and practices that enhance the digital practices and wellbeing of young people. Jo is a key advisor to Australian State and Federal Governments, is a regular TV and media commentator, and provides ongoing advice to parents on supporting the digital practices of children. She has popularised new terms such as ‘sharenting’ and "zombie scrolling’, demonstrating her huge influence on how we discuss and understand digital behaviours. Knowledge is power and Jo's focus is on understanding and providing solutions for adults and children. Dr Jo's new book published by Penguin RandomHouse will be available, September 2025.
