Riivo Sarapik is a pianist, music educator, writer and illustrator, and the founder of Ozzy.School. Trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, he began developing Ozzy as a story-based approach to introducing children to music theory, combining characters and storytelling with his experience as a music teacher. What began as children’s stories and illustrated music books has since developed into a digital learning platform combining animation, games, exercises, songs and classroom activities. Ozzy.School is now used in schools across Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Riivo continues to lead the creative development of the programme, including its stories, illustrations and music.
