Dr. Narentheren Kaliappen is a Senior Lecturer of International Business (AACSB Accredited) at the School of International Studies, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He holds a Ph.D., MBA and BBA (Hons) from UUM. He was conferred the Distinguish Doctoral Dissertation Award by Academy for Global Business Advancement (based in the United States) at the AGBA conference in 2015 for his Ph.D. thesis. He is actively involved in SoTL and case study research. He also published a number of WoS and Scopus-indexed journals, including Emerald, Inderscience and Sage publications in the field of business management and teaching case in Case Centre, UK, in addition to presenting several papers at local and international conferences. “Match Your Strategies for Brilliant Performance” and “Strategy Execution for Performance Excellence” are the latest books he wrote. Notably, he received the 2016 Emerald Literati Awards for Excellence for the paper entitled “Innovation strategies and performance are they truly linked”. He received the Best Teacher Award and Young Faculty Award in 2019 at UUM. He holds an intellectual property (copyright) for Teaching Case and Teaching Note Writing Template. In 2022, he was awarded “Certified Content Creator” by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. He has been invited to deliver speeches in Vietnam, Singapore, Bahrain, Tunisia, Lebanon, China, and the UAE, and to conduct workshops in Malaysia, Thailand, India and Australia.
