Dr. Masamu Kamaga, currently serving as the President of the Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT) in Cambodia, brings with him a rich academic background and extensive professional experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Chiba University, Japan, and obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from the esteemed Tokyo Institute of Technology. Dr. Kamaga began his career conducting power electronics research at prestigious organizations such as AIST and TOSHIBA. Later, he transitioned into academia, taking up teaching and research roles at Maranatha Christian University and Bina Nusantara University in Indonesia. Here, he also lent his expertise as a guest lecturer at numerous universities and high schools and was selected as a speaker at the 2016 TEDxBandung event. In 2019, Dr. Kamaga joined KIT Cambodia, initially serving as the Vice President for Academic Affairs. During this period, he orchestrated major curriculum revisions across all departments, including the Foundation Year Program, revamped the student policy and handbook, and successfully transitioned to e-Learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic from 2019 to 2021. As the Vice President for Global Engagement for the 2022-2023 term, he led KIT Cambodia's internationalization initiatives and promoting digital education in alignment with global digitalization standards through the Center for Teaching and Learning. His diverse experience coupled with his enduring dedication to excellence positions him as an invaluable asset to the KIT community.
