Kayzad Byramjee | Head of Digital Learning & Innovation
Tanglin Trust School

Kayzad Byramjee, Head of Digital Learning & Innovation, Tanglin Trust School

Kayzad Byramjee is Head of Digital Learning & Innovation at a leading international school in Singapore, where he leads teachers in Technology for Learning through a pedagogy first approach. His focus is not simply on introducing new technologies, but on understanding how they can genuinely improve teaching, learning and the experience of students and teachers. Kayzad has been closely involved in developing Tanglin’s approach to AI in education, including guidance for teachers and students, professional learning, digital citizenship and the responsible use of generative AI. His work also spans digital learning strategy, managed student devices, platforms such as Microsoft 365, Copilot and Gemini, assessment and learning analytics, and the practical implementation of technology across a large international school. Alongside his leadership role, Kayzad maintains a strong connection with classroom teaching through Physics, which helps keep his approach grounded in the realities of teachers and learners. He is particularly interested in how schools can move beyond the excitement surrounding new technology to make thoughtful, evidence-informed decisions about where it adds genuine educational value, and more importantly, where it does not; thereby preparing young people to navigate an increasingly AI-enabled world with responsibility and confidence to map out their place in their future.
