Dr. Christine Sommers has been involved in teaching in nursing in the academic and hospital setting for over 30 years. She has had the opportunity to teach in seven countries. She is a 2016-2018 Jonas Scholar Recipient. Her current research focus areas include student success factors, clinical reasoning and clinical judgment in nursing, and best practices in teaching methods to prepare nursing and education students globally to meet current challenges. She is the Executive Dean of the College of Nursing and Education at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Jakarta, Indonesia.
