Prof. Dr. Angela Lee Siew Hoong is the Deputy Dean (Employability & Alumni) at Sunway University’s School of Engineering and Technology. A pioneer of data science education in Malaysia, she spearheaded the country’s first Data Science degree and launched an online Master’s programme. Her research spans applied AI in healthcare, sentiment analysis, blockchain adoption and enterprise knowledge sharing, with numerous industry collaborations and impactful projects. Recipient of the National Outstanding Educator Award and SAS Distinguished Educator Award Global and Asia Pacific, Deep Thinking and Innovative Award, she actively advances AI education, employability, and innovation. Prof. Angela continues to champion the role of AI and data-driven decision-making in driving sustainable development and industry innovation.
