Protostar Education is an international education provider helping children and young people build the English skills and confidence to become global citizens. Originating in Seattle and headquartered in Hong Kong, Protostar serves learners across Asia with live online one-to-one and small-group classes. Our structured curriculum develops phonics, guided reading, comprehension, writing and communication, with STEM-informed content and engaging, gamified learning experiences. Lessons are aligned with US Common Core standards and delivered by certified native English-speaking teachers from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, each bringing extensive classroom and online teaching experience. Protostar’s “fixed time, fixed teacher and fixed classmates” model supports continuity, strong teacher-student relationships and measurable progress. Our proprietary PLOT pedagogy creates an immersive English environment in which students learn naturally, think independently and communicate confidently. Technology connects families with high-quality educators while class recordings, learning tools and dedicated academic support help students continue learning beyond each live lesson. With curriculum research, technology and service teams in Hong Kong, Seattle and Shanghai, Protostar combines international teaching expertise with localized support for families and education partners throughout Asia.
