Indela Education — Building Independent Learners
Indela Education helps secondary schools make learning how to learn part of everyday teaching. Our Independent Learners Framework is a whole-school approach that brings leaders, teachers, students and parents together around a shared understanding of how learning and memory work — and how students can become increasingly independent learners.
Rather than delivering a one-off study-skills program, Indela works alongside schools to embed evidence-informed learning strategies into teaching, classroom routines and student study habits.
Teachers receive professional learning, ready-to-use lessons, classroom resources and practical strategies based on retrieval practice, spacing and the science of learning. Students are explicitly taught how to plan, retrieve, review and prepare effectively, supported by the Study Success Diary and short strategy videos.
School leaders receive a structured implementation roadmap, ongoing support and evaluation tools to help build consistency and measure impact. Parents are also brought into the approach through practical resources that help them understand and reinforce effective learning habits at home.
Everything is connected through one whole-school framework and supported by Indela’s Knowledge Centre.
The result is not another program competing for curriculum time. It is a sustainable approach to how students are taught to learn — building confidence, stronger learning habits and greater independence.
