Dr Gerri Sinclair is currently Vice-President, Commercial Data for the Vancouver International Airport, where she served as a Member of the Board of Directors from 2009-2019 and more recently as Acting CIO and VP of Innovation. Throughout her 30 year career she has held numerous high profile positions in both the private and public sectors, including Innovation Commissioner of the Province of British Columbia, General Manager at Microsoft Canada, Chief Digital Strategist at Vancity Credit Union, Managing Director at Kensington Capital, President of The BC Premier’s Technology Council, and Chair of the Federal Telecom Policy Review on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister of Industry of Canada. She has also served on the Board of Directors of many Canadian corporations and non-profit boards including BC Telecom, Telus, the Toronto Montreal Stock Exchange, Canadian Pension Investment Board, Ballard Power, the National Information Highway and Broadband Strategy Councils, and the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute.   Sinclair has won numerous industry awards in both business and technology and holds two lifetime achievement awards, one from the BC Technology Association and the other from Business in Vancouver in the “Influential Woman in Business” Category. She is regularly named as a member of BC Magazine’s Power 50 list, and is the recipient of the Canadian Public Policy award for her contributions to shaping Canadian public policy in the telecom and technology industries.  She is widely acclaimed as a visionary leader in technology innovation with extensive experience in investment capital, business transformation, digital technologies and government policy. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia and two honorary doctorates, from the University of BC and from Simon Fraser University.
