Nakorn Chantasorn, Board Member, Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC)

He has over 38 years-experience working in the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), Mechanical Engineering Department; Chief, General Training Division, Training and Development Bureau; Chief, Policy and Planning Bureau; Assistant General Manager and Director, Special Program Development Department respectively. He has been appointed the Deputy Governor since 2006, responsible for the Special Project and Construction Engineering as well as the Electrification System Management of the SRT. He has also been in charge of care taker Governor of SRT between 2007-2008. After retired from SRT in September 2010, he assumed the full-time advisor to the President of National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) between October 2010 to August 2022. Currently he is a member of the committee for environmental impact assessment (EIA) for land and air infrastructure investment projects and also a member sub-committee for funding research and development to strengthen Thailand competitiveness on future transport system. He is a visiting lecturer at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL).
