Susan J. Kressly, MD, FAAP, is the 2026 Immediate Past President of the AAP.
Dr Kressly is a general pediatrician and clinical informaticist. She received her medical degree from Temple 
University School of Medicine and served her residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Her clinical 
career spanned more than 30 years in independent practice, including a medical home which she founded in 
order to better serve her community. 
Dr. Kressly’s career includes championing pediatric health information technology, and working with 
pediatricians across the country to optimize care delivery, quality, payment and value. She describes herself as a 
fierce advocate for children and pediatricians.
