Dr. da Silva Antunes earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences in 2010 and joined La Jolla Institute for Immunology in 2012. Since 2016 in Alessandro Sette's lab, he has investigated T cell immune response mechanisms against emerging pathogens of global health significance, including pertussis, Group A Streptococcus, and SARS-CoV-2. With expertise in T cell signatures and antigen-specific immune memory, he specializes in vaccinology and translating immunological discoveries into clinical applications and immunotherapeutic strategies.
