Karthik Siram, Ph.D., is a formulation scientist specializing in the design and translation of
advanced vaccine adjuvant systems. He earned his doctorate in Pharmaceutics, focusing on the
design of nanoparticles for lymphatic targeting. As a Senior Scientist at the Center for Translational
Medicine at the University of Montana, he discovers, develops, and scales up next-generation
vaccine adjuvant formulations from early discovery through GMP manufacturing, and contributes
to IND-enabling activities. His experience includes developing and optimizing scalable
formulation techniques, writing SOPs, navigating CMC workflows, troubleshooting API and
formulation instabilities, and implementing quality-driven processes suitable for regulatory
submission. Dr. Siram has spearheaded formulation design, process development, technology
transfer, and CDMO coordination for multiple GMP manufacturing campaigns, notably supporting
the advancement of multiple small-molecule adjuvant formulation platforms to Phase 1 clinical
readiness for opioid and influenza vaccine programs.
