Mary Morlino | Patient Navigator
Undiagnosed Disease Network Foundation (UDNF)

Mary Morlino, Patient Navigator, Undiagnosed Disease Network Foundation (UDNF)

Mary Morlino serves as a Patient Navigator at the Undiagnosed Diseases Network Foundation (UDNF), where she leverages over 17 years of personal and professional experience to address the challenges faced by patients and families navigating the complexities of undiagnosed diseases. Diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, a multi-system rare disease, after a 7-year diagnostic journey, Mary is deeply committed to advocating for patient empowerment and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to enhance the diagnostic odyssey and improve the rare disease experience. Mary is passionate about working with the undiagnosed, ultra-rare and rare disease communities, including patients, advocacy organizations, researchers, medical professionals, and industry leaders, to identify and implement strategies that advance research, raise awareness, and develop solutions that positively impact patients’ lives. Her previous roles with Global Genes and The EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases have enabled her to contribute to significant initiatives aimed at empowering the patient community, driving legislative and systemic change to improve the patient experience. In addition to her work with UDNF, Mary has been an active advocate, ambassador, and speaker for the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research (FSR) since 2016. She is also the founder of MarylandRARE, a state-based patient advocacy organization. Inspired by her nephews, who have Muscular Dystrophy, Mary’s dedication to advocacy is fueled by a desire to help others on their unique journeys to find answers, resources, and opportunities to enhance their quality of life.
