The International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC) unites national and international governmental and non-profit funding bodies, companies.

Their vision: Enable all people living with a rare disease to receive an accurate diagnosis, care, and available therapy within one year of coming to medical attention

IRDiRC exists to make rare disease research efforts more efficient and collaborative, around the world.

• IRDiRC members are dedicated to the mission of progressing research for the 300 million people and families living with rare disease worldwide​
• IRDiRC has brought together a global multi-stakeholder leadership consortium including research funders, patient advocacy groups, companies, scientists and experts to maximize the output of rare disease research and development​
• IRDiRC is a catalyst connecting people and ideas, creating unique collaboration and developing or endorsing tools to stimulate impactful change in rare disease research ​
