Chris George, Priniciple, Self

Chris is an independent consultant and project developer with over 35 years commercial and technical experience in developing and procuring domestic and international telecommunications infrastructure. Throughout his career Chris has been involved in key aspects of submarine cables from initial concept and development, through funding, design, engineering, project management, commercial, contracts, partner development and marketing. He worked for companies including Cable & Wireless, Optus and Google and was involved in the development of multiple private submarine cables ranging from PTAT-1 through to Southern Cross and most recently Google's Equiano cable.  Following his experience over 10 years developing Google's network infrastructure in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Chris has been supporting data center and submarine cable startups develop their strategies as well as supporting investment decisions by multiple finance houses. In addition he is leading the development of his own infrastructure projects - watch this space!
