Steve LaPointe is a seasoned distribution and operations executive with more than 30 years of experience in the furniture industry. His career began in a family-owned business supporting operations contracted with Mayflower Moving Company, where he developed a strong foundation in logistics, service, and operational discipline at an early age. He later advanced into retail furniture distribution with Furniture Row in Denver, Colorado, gaining extensive experience in delivery operations, warehousing, and large-scale logistics management. Steve continued to build his leadership expertise with Bassett Furniture in Southern California, where he served as Director of Operations, overseeing complex, multi-location retail, distribution, and service functions. Currently, Steve serves as Senior Director of Distribution Services for Star Furniture, a Berkshire Hathaway company. In this role, he leads distribution strategy, delivery operations, and customer experience initiatives, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, service excellence, and scalable growth. Steve is known for his commitment to servant leadership and his ability to build high-performing, empowered teams. He is passionate about creating a culture that prioritizes the customer while maintaining the highest operational standards and driving sales and profitability. His leadership approach centers on accountability, continuous improvement, and developing talent to achieve long-term organizational success.
