COST-European Cooperation in Science and Technology

I am the Deputy Head of the Science Operations Unit at COST Association where I am responsible of enhancing the coherence, quality, and efficiency of business processes within the unit. My role involves operational activities, supporting management, and driving excellence in science operations. I oversee with my team the Open Call management and a portfolio of COST Actions (which are networks), contributing to coordination and capacity building of numerous research communities at a pan-European level. Previously, I was a Marie Curie Postdoctoral grantee (2012-2014) under the EU project ManETEI on researching the emergence of technologies. Hosted by Fraunhofer (ISI), I collaborated closely with Bayer Technology Services and the EU project ResAgora. I hold a PhD in Economics of Science and Innovation from Bocconi University (Milan, 2013) and contributed to studies on research infrastructures through the EU project RIFI at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste.
