Jake has a Batchelors degree in chemistry from the University of Hull and a PhD in organometallic chemistry from the University of York. He has worked for Clariant, one of the world's leading speciality chemical companies, for more than 7 years, where he is currently the Head of High Throughput Experimentation (HTE) for the Care Chemicals business unit. Before joining Clariant he spent more than a decade working for Chemspeed Technologies, a supplier of leading edge lab automation & digitalization technologies. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and riding his road bike, he is a supporter of the Northampton Saints Rugby Club.
