Christian Timmer | Global Head of Testing

Christian Timmer is a materials scientist with extensive experience in both academic research and industrial application. Since January 2024, he has served as Global Head of Testing at the Wheelabrator Group, overseeing the company’s international test center located in Metelen, Germany. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic development of testing processes, particularly in the fields of shot blasting and wear analysis. His work focuses on researching and optimizing the wear behavior of shot blasting components, utilizing advanced metallographic techniques to analyze the microstructure of materials in detail. Previously, Timmer worked at the Institute of Materials Technology (LWT) at TU Dortmund University, where he contributed to research in high-temperature brazing, finite element simulations, and high-entropy alloys. His scientific publications have appeared in respected journals and have been cited in multiple research studies.
