Freedom Fibre is a next generation wholesale FTTP network provider with a B2B2C business model, formed in March 2021 by telecoms network entrepreneur Neil McArthur. The ‘atnet’ secured £100m scale-up funding in May 2022 to accelerate its rollout to over 2m premises in the North-West. The company currently offers lightning-fast broadband and dedicated business services to 35,000 premises in Cheshire and Greater Manchester and is on track to reach 70,000 by the end of 2022, boosting customer penetration through its wholesale agreement with TalkTalk to use its fibre optic connections, with a business plan to reach more than 2m premises in the North West.
