Nick Holland | CTO and VP for Architecture

Nick is CTO and VP for Architecture at 8x8 Inc, a unified communications provider with offices around the world. Nick splits his time between 8x8's headquarters in San Jose, California and London, UK. Nick has over 30 years experience in the telecoms and IP communications and is primarily concerned with Regulatory Compliance, Data Privacy and technologies which enable global scale for the millions of 8x8 users. Nick begun his career at GEC Marconi Space and Defense Systems working on secure communications, then moved to contracting to various banks. Nick founded an ISP in the mid 90's which sold to Level3, and then founded a VOIP service provider in 2000 which after multiple M&A transactions sold to 8x8 in 2015. Nick believes the PSTN will morph into an end to end encrypted, trusted multi media communications system running on the Internet, and looks forward to being part of that transition.
