Dan Tingle, Head of Development Programmes, National Grid

Dan Tingle is Head of Development Programmes at National Grid, leading apprenticeship and technical training programmes supporting over 1,300 learners. Having joined the organisation as a Substation Apprentice in 1999, Daniel progressed through operational, training, and leadership roles before taking responsibility for the strategic development of National Grid's future talent pipeline. He has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector and recently led National Grid Electricity Transmission to an Ofsted Outstanding judgement, maintaining more than 25 years of outstanding inspection outcomes, and National Grid Electricity Distribution to achieve Strong across all areas under Ofsted's new framework. He is passionate about developing people, technical capability, and the future workforce required to support the energy transition.
