Connected Britain is delighted to be supporting a selected number of charity partners at this year’s event. See below for more information on who we’re partnering with and what they’ll be doing at Connected Britain 2026.
AbilityNet
AbilityNet supports disabled adults and older people to use technology to achieve their goals. They do this by providing free online resources from factsheets, blogs, and webinars.
Their expert team of specialist accessibility consultants help businesses and public sector organisations ensure their websites, apps and other digital services are accessible, usable and compliant with the latest accessibility laws and standards.
The team can work with your digital team at every stage of a project, providing the insight and support you need, with a range of services that includes accessibility audits and testing, user research, accessibility consultancy and training.
AbilityNet at Connected Britain
AbilityNet has a network of more than 450 friendly tech volunteers, but with an increasing number of requests for support, they are actively looking to expand this network. Meet the team at Stand F74 to find out more about how to sign up as a volunteer.
Digital Poverty Alliance
The Digital Poverty Alliance is aiming to end digital poverty once and for all by 2030, ensuring everyone can access the life-changing benefits of the digital world. They are working towards this goal by bringing together partners across industry, government, and the third sector to coordinate efforts, share best practice, and lead sustainable action.
Their work focuses on advocating for policy change, building a robust evidence base through research, and running proof-of-concept projects to support those in need. Through campaigns, community building, and direct delivery projects, they help households across the UK access vital devices, connectivity, and digital skills.
Launched in 2001, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the Digital Poverty Alliance and their work changing the shape of digital poverty in the UK.
Digital Poverty Alliance at Connected Britain
Digital Poverty Alliance will be taking donations of devices on Stand F72 during both days of the event. Donations can come from individuals or from companies!
