Amanda Pun, Legal Director, Believ

Amanda Pun is Legal Director at Believ, one of the UK's best-backed electric vehicle charge point operators and a joint venture of Liberty Global and Zouk Capital. She leads Believ's legal, regulatory and compliance functions, sitting on the senior leadership team and advising the Board through the company's scale-up phase. Amanda has over 18 years' experience spanning telecoms, digital and energy infrastructure. Before joining the EV sector, she spent over a decade in mobile telecoms at Virgin Media O2 and also Cornerstone, with a particular interest in deploying network infrastructure at scale and pace, 5G and fibre strategies, IoT and smart cities. That trajectory, from mobile network infrastructure to EV charging networks, gives Amanda a distinctive perspective on the challenges and opportunities that emerge when distributed infrastructure is built at pace and at scale and on the growing convergence between the connectivity and energy ecosystems.

Roundtable: Building Trusted Infrastructure - What EV charging can learn from telco

As EV charging networks scale across the UK, operators are beginning to face many of the same challenges the telco industry has already spent decades solving: uptime, resilience, interoperability, customer trust and distributed infrastructure management.

This roundtable brings together telecoms and EV charging infrastructure leaders to explore where the industries overlap, what lessons can be applied, and whether the future lies in closer collaboration between connectivity and energy ecosystems.

Discussion points:

  • What do telco and EV charging networks have in common?
  • What has telco already learned?
  • Where is EV charging infrastructure today?
  • What can EV charging learn from telco?
  • Is there an emerging ecosystem (converging of telco, energy and mobility sectors into a shared infrastructure ecosystem)?
