Jasmin Vargas is the Executive Director of Austin Free-Net, a digital inclusion nonprofit serving the Austin community since 1995 and contracted by the City of Austin to expand equitable access to technology. She leads bilingual (English and Spanish) programs that help adults build essential digital skills through in-person workshops, virtual classes, and technology support at community computer labs across Austin, and oversees a program that provides free or low-cost computers to residents who complete digital literacy training. Jasmin began her career teaching digital literacy directly to community members and has supported hundreds of residents through workshops and one-on-one technology coaching while also helping train volunteers who expand technology support in the community. She is passionate about helping underserved communities confidently use technology to access opportunities in work, education, and daily life.
