Brandon Uselton | Chief Information Officer

Brandon Uselton is the current Chief Information Officer for the City of Texarkana Texas, City of Texarkana Arkansas, and the Texarkana Water Utilities. Brandon has 17 years of experience in the field of Information Technology, starting his career in the US Army as a Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer, then working up from helpdesk to CIO at the City of Texarkana. He graduated from Texas A&M University -Texarkana with a Applied Arts and Sciences degree in Computer Technology, and from Western Governors University with a master’s degree in IT Management. He holds a current certification as a Certified Government Chief Information Officer and is in the final stages of completing the Certified Public Manager program from Texas State University.  Brandon led the IT Department of the Cities of Texarkana after a ransomware attack in 2020 that saw the department transformed from a cost center to be controlled with no seat at the table of senior leadership, to a more proactive, professional organization that provides leadership not just to the Cities of Texarkana, but to the community at large. 

With over 17 years of experience in IT leadership roles, Brandon brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic planning, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. He is passionate about harnessing the power of technology to serve the residents of his community.
