Ricky Barr is managing director focused on customer strategy and innovation. In this role, he is responsible for the tools, technology and processes that shape the customer experience throughout a large portion of their travel journey. His focus areas include security, gates, baggage, customer messaging, customer disruption and the use of biometrics throughout the entire customer journey.
Prior to this role, Ricky spent 16 years throughout various parts of United’s Finance organization. This included time spent in internal audit, financial planning and analysis, and resource planning. Prior to joining United, Ricky spent 12 years in the manufacturing sector, holding positions in industrial engineering, cost accounting, and various levels of operations leadership. Ricky holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting from Southern Illinois University.
