Bill Carleton, Director, NEC

ill Carleton brings over 20 years of expertise in providing superior service, driving innovation, and exhibiting leadership across large-scale and complex biometric, identity management, IT, and business systems. His experience spans the federal government, private industry, airports, and major airlines worldwide. As a leader at NEC, Mr. Carleton currently manages (directs) the implementation of NEC’s biometric and identity management system, solution, and product implementations for NEC’s successful global aviation programs. Notably, he was responsible for Delta Air Line’s successful deployment of the first biometric terminal in the U.S. at the world’s busiest airport, Atlanta’s Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal and expanded this pioneering technology to Delta’s major U.S. hubs. In addition, Mr. Carleton was essential in the development and implementation of Star Alliance Biometrics, a biometric-based decentralized digital ID platform that is significantly improving the travel experience of Star Alliance member airlines. Bill’s work continues to set new standards in efficiency, security and customer satisfaction within the aviation industry.
