Mathieu Agbornyenty, Chief of Section - International Airport Security Operations, Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA)

Mathieu is a Cyber-AVSEC expert with extensive experience in supporting civil aviation authorities, airlines, airports and protecting critical aviation infrastructures whilst ensuring compliance with global norms. With a background in law, an MBA in Cybersecurity and ICAO AVSEC PM, he specializes in designing integrated security awareness programs and regulatory compliance frameworks in alignment with the ICAO Annex 17, Security Manual (Doc 8973), NIST standards and EASA PART-IS.

Currently serving as Chief of Section for International Airport Security Operations, trains aviation security professionals on aviation security risk management, security culture, and cyber risk governance for critical civil aviation infrastructure across Central and West African states as a senior consultant at Aviated Consultants, thereby helping bridge the long-standing divide between AVSEC and cybersecurity domains. Passionate about strengthening the human layer of defence, he advocates for a unified aviation security culture that recognizes both physical and cyber resilience as inseparable through his collaborations with the likes of IATA and EASA in shaping aviation-cyber practices and policies.
