Hassan El-Houry is the Executive Chairman of Menzies Aviation, the world’s largest aviation services company, operating across more than 350 airports in 65 countries. In his role, he provides active leadership on strategy, corporate development, capital allocation, governance, and performance, working closely with management to drive growth, operational excellence, and uncompromising safety standards across the global network. He previously served for over a decade as Chief Executive Officer of National Aviation Services (NAS), where he transformed the Kuwait based company into a leading ground handling and air cargo partner across Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. He led the acquisition of Menzies Aviation by Agility and the subsequent integration with NAS in 2022, creating a global industry leader with unmatched scale and capabilities. Under his leadership, Menzies entered a period of accelerated expansion, significantly increasing its global footprint, broadening its service portfolio, and deepening relationships with leading airline customers, while maintaining safety as its number one priority. In 2025, Menzies acquired G2 Secure Staff, doubling its presence in the United States and strengthening its position in the world’s largest and most dynamic aviation market, reinforcing its leadership across six continents. Menzies Aviation delivers complex, time-critical airport services including passenger, lounge, ramp, air cargo, warehousing, freight forwarding, and fuel services, supporting the safe and efficient movement of millions of passengers and tonnes of cargo each year. The company employees 65,000 people across its network. Beyond Menzies, Mr. El-Houry is Chairman of ASA World, the global trade association representing aviation services companies employing more than 1.1 million people worldwide. He is focused on raising international standards, strengthening industry collaboration, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of global aviation. He is a long-standing contributor to the World Economic Forum, where he has participated for over a decade in discussions on aviation policy and mobility. In 2014, he was recognised as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and currently serves on the Global Future Council on the Future of Sustainable Tourism. Mr El-Houry serves on several corporate and academic boards and is a member of the Executive Board at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from Wharton and a bachelor’s degree from the American University of Beirut.
