Cynthia Otoro is a seasoned executive with over 10 years of experience driving revenue, brand growth, marketing strategy, and digital transformation. She is currently the Commercial Director at Jambojet, where she leads a cross-functional team in delivering customer-centric innovation, revenue growth, market expansion, and brand visibility across the region. Cynthia has been instrumental in positioning Jambojet not only as a leading airline but a trusted brand that delivers value to its customers and impact to the community. Under her leadership, Jambojet has achieved incredible milestones, including being named the Leading Low-Cost Airline in Africa 4 times running, gaining 53% market share, and winning various awards across Marketing and Sustainability. She was also named among the Top 25 Women in Digital 2020 by Digitals Africa, a recognition that celebrates her innovative contributions to digital transformation and her impact on the marketing landscape in Kenya and beyond. Previously the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, Cynthia has been instrumental in expanding Jambojet’s digital presence, with online channels now contributing over 75% of total revenue.  She conceptualized the campaign #NowTravelReady, which won the Digital Brand of the Year, Best Brand during Covid, and was runner up in Best Influencer Marketing Campaign of the Year at the Digital Media Awards, 2021.  Before joining the airline in 2017, Cynthia worked at Access Leo Burnett, a Publicis Groupe agency, as the Digital Marketing Lead, in charge of Digital Communication and media buying for brands across Finance, FMCG, Airline, Telco, and consumer goods.
